Texas Junior Golf was started in 2007 by award-winning junior golf instructor Kevin Johnson. The 3-time U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Instructor wanted to do something to help North Texas junior golfers have opportunities to experience the same success and joys that he did as a junior golfer himself. With the help of many people, Kevin has been able to develop the most well-rounded and expansive junior golf program in Texas and the U.S.

An integral part of Texas Junior Golf is the instructional side, the Texas Junior Golf Academy. Kevin has developed a wide variety of programs to facilitate to every junior golfer. Whether your junior golfer is just beginning or trying to earn a college scholarship, the Texas Junior Golf Academy has something designed just for them.

Texas Junior Golf also thinks it’s important to provide quality tournament experiences for junior golfers. That is why Kevin has teamed up with different groups to offer the best run junior events in North Texas. Beginning in Winter 2008, Texas Junior Golf will be running the U.S. Kids Golf Dallas Local Tour. Along with the Summer and Winter U.S. Kids Tours, Kevin will also help run the Southwest Winter Junior Open (March), Lone Star Memorial (May), Southwest Junior Open (July) and Southwest Junior Championship (September). These events are sure to give young junior golfers the enjoyment of competing against their peers and help develop lifelong friendships.
